The wind blows to the southand turns to the north;
round and round it goes,ever returning on its course.

Since 2006, Photographer Shamow'el Rama Surya started traveling to China almost every year untill 2017.
In this black and white series, I traveled to China in period of time 2007 to 2010. My first trip in China started in Beijing (North) and ended in Kunming (South). I made People's portraits from urban life in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Kunming to rural places on the mountain of Miao tribes in Guizhou province. No assignment, just love to travel in China as a backpacker tourist with low budget cost. I used public transportations every move to another cities or towns. I took train for 3 days non-stop trip from Beijing to Kunming or from Kunming to Beijing 2 times in that period of time. Another trip, I took train from Beijing to Fujian Province for one day and one night and continue to Guizhou Province. Many trip with economy class train. In the towns or cities, I took bus and spent time in the bus station. Observing people and their lifestyles.
